Yeshwant RamamurthyA graduate of Sir JJ College of Architecture, Mumbai (1973), Ar.Yeshwant Ramamurthy began his career with M/s Chandavarkar and Thacker, Bangalore. Two years later he moved overseas to work on town planning projects with M/s Architects Co-operative, Tehran, Iran. Returning to his home town, Hyderabad Ar. Ramamurthy commenced private practice as a one man fledgling operation, later joined by his associate, Ar.Rajesh Murthy in 1986.

For over 35 years as principal architect of Studio One, Ar. Ramamurthy has designed buildings across various typologies ranging from high end private residences to humble affordable housing using sustainable technology.

As a founder member of the Hyderabad chapter of Institute of Indian Interior designers ,he served as chairman 2006 2008, and mentored its growth and fellowship thereafter. He is on the National Executive of IIID from 2012 to the current term. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. The Council of Architecture has nominated him as convener of its publications committee. He is on the academic board of studies in architecture at the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture & Fine Arts University, Hyderabad. He is a fellow of IIA and IIID.

Conducting Heritage walks of architectural monuments in Hyderabad and making technical presentations are other ways in which he contributes to the citys design fraternity. He was recently declared amongst Indias 100 most influential designers.
