The built form provided an unexpected setting where the entry of the building is set away moving away from the entry of the plot. The response was to address directness to the approach. On developing this thought, various angles originated in the landscape creating a very dynamic movement and foci. A large triangular tiered waterfall originates taking cue from the overlaid geometry to cool the front court. Another triangle, a plane of blue glass turned perpendicularly as continuation of the facade is designed to act as a skylight to the gym in the basement. A wooden floor extends outwards from the entry doors of the building reaching out to the front court. A composition of coloured tiles inspired by the pattern of tulip farms enhances the driveways on the sides of the building and a composition of a hundred red acrylic lit tulips in the middle of the water body link elements of design to the owners brand. The design sheds preconceived notions and exudes a candor, a feeling of forthrightness to be enjoyed in the world.
