Dumbbell shaped in section, the body of this house, not only accommodates the rooms, but also by virtue of its Meerkat
like poise provides the right elevation to gain distant horizon views of the ocean. Sea breezes flow through the one room thick plan. Shade;
is what we sought through the construct, a space in direct connection with the tropical beach breezes, a space to sit and read a book, a space for dogs to lounge.
The tube will be clad in kotah
lime stone and will be left to weather more towards the windward side. Over the years we expect the body of the house to exhibit the harshness of the ocean brunt on one side and retain newness on the other.
In contrast; wire cut bricks create a cool and earthy base to the composition.
