Perched on the edge of a 300 foot high cliff with a sheer drop to the sea below, this Alibagh villa commands a panoramic view of the Arabian sea. Responding to the natural topography and the view, the villa has been designed with extended outdoor spaces as landscape decks which in turn act as viewing platforms for the breathtaking panoramic views. All the rooms are planned around an open court yard which forms the nucleus of the design. The infinity pool stretching into the horizon tends to lend an illusion of floating somewhere in between the sea and the sky.
The architecture and interiors are reminiscent of a Mediterranean elegance but is married wiith local materials and a keeping local character in mind too. Great effort has been taken to make the indoors flow into the exterior spaces to give a sense of complete openness in the villa so that the nature abounding becomes as much part of the house.
