Pragati Maidan located at New Delhi in India has emerged as one of the best Exhibition center covering 72,000 sqm area for attracting guests as well as visitors from different industries.
The most appropriate venue in New Delhi for the organization of various exhibitions as well as conventions is the Pragati Maidan. In fact, it is considered to be the largest centre for exhibitions in Delhi. The ITPO (India Trade Promotion Organization) is completely responsible for its effective management which is operated by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of Indian Government.
The noble hand which lies behind its entire layout and designing is Raj Rewal, a well known architect of Hall of Nations. Smt. Indira Gandhi inaugurated this place in the year 1972 on 3rd November with a Trade Fair of international level popularly known as Asia 72. Being located in the central location of Delhi this place can be easily accessed. The entire complex comprises of highly spacious 18 exhibition halls, various buildings, performance spaces, eateries and compounds. Apart from this, every year more than 70 national as well as international exhibitions are organized in this compound which consequently attracts huge numbers of visitors from all over the world.
Some of major events which are generally held in this Maidan include the Auto Expo, World book fair, India International trade fair and many more. However, some of the permanent exhibitions which are available here include Atomic Energy, Defense pavilion and Nehru Pavilion.
