Karan Grover

Karan Grover was born in Mumbai. He completed his education from Mayo College, Ajmer and was a national-level swimmer. The call of architecture was so strong that Karan Grover decided to focus his attention towards fulfilling his dreams instead of joining his father?s business. After completing undergraduate studies at the Vadodara School of Architecture of the Maharaja Sayajirao University, he pursued his postgraduate studies from the Architectural Association, London.

 

In 1975, he floated a partnership, Patel & Grover Associates, with a friend and confidant Mr Manoj Patel. After a 10-year strong partnership, they went their separate ways. Karan Grover is now the proud owner of Karan Grover & Associates. Karan has won several awards and accolades. In 2004, he won the LEED Award for the first platinum building for CII Godrej Green Business Centre, Hyderabad. He also won the nomination for Champaner, a fourteenth-century city. It was India?s nomination to UNESCO for World Heritage Status in 2004.

 

He is working towards emphasizing the importance of green and sustainable architecture among students and fellow architects. He thinks it is a worthy and important cause, which everyone should contribute to and make this planet a better place to work and live in.
