The property came to Arris with half-built interior services of HVAC. To save on time, money and extra manned efforts, a design call was made to retain the services and design around it. This resulted in a combination space, narrow spaces with low height and wider spaces with more height.
Focus of the design is to create a subtle yet vibrant backdrop to accommodate cinema entrances in such varying heights and space equations. A very simple setting of forms was generated to create an atmosphere of light and open spaces.
The horizontal are peeled from one another creating variation in patterning and cantilevering thus creating a sense of fluidic movement. Lighting is embedded in the layered paneling to accentuate the contour aspect .This overall effect forms a visible invitation to the space drawing the visitor in and gradually framing rhythmic perspectives within the wavelike volume.
