The Machine Tools industry in India can be traced back to the times of the Second World War, when the non-availability of imported machine tools induced a few British owned general engineering
Companies to start their manufacture in India. It has since progressed significantly after the liberalization of the Indian economy.

Today, The Indian machine tools is an innovative industry and manufactures a comprehensive range of metal-cutting and metal-forming machine tools, and is known for its high quality and low cost offerings. Overseas markets now have a very favourable disposition towards the products manufactured in India. Demands from these markets are on the rise, and augurs well for the future of this industry.

Further, this being a critical sector, growth of the machine tools industry has a direct impact on the entire manufacturing industry which is vital for the country's strategic requirement in the defence, railways, space, and atomic energy sectors. Also, the automobile, engineering, and textile machinery industries are also significantly contributing to the increased demand for Machine tools.

The national production caters to only about half the national consumption across all industries. Evidently this Industry has very challenging times ahead to bridge this demand-supply gap. We at Radeecal Communications perceive this as a huge opportunity for this Industry!

Gujarat is the leading industrialized State of India. It houses a number of multinational corporations, large private sector companies, strong public sector enterprises and a large number of medium and small scale units. It is hence that Radeecal Communications is organizing EMAT 2014 in this state for the players in this industry to showcase their products/services, and to cash on this opportunity.
