The directorate complex is conceived as a gateway to the northeast seven sister states. Being located in a highly sensitive area, the building is designed as inward looking office complex clustered around a common open space. The module starts with the shape of a tea leaf, used as a symbol for the module design. The tip of the leaf is designed as an open connecting atrium throughout the building. The leaf bud is conceptualized as the connecting core between the floors. The complex has been designed in the light of the local context, climatology, security and traffic planning.
