The idea was to create a moving wooden facade for Sana Poonawala's Dental Clinic. It is located in an old residential tower with mundane surroundings.
The facade intends to bring in some dynamism to the area and create an interesting play of light and shadow inside the clinic at the same time.
The wood used is reclaimed teak wood and is constructed fully on site in less than a week. The wooden facade is designed such that the battens interlock into each other at junctions at different angles forming a system that can move and remain variable.
