The site is amidst a vast expanse of green with the Aravalli hills as a backdrop. The proposed building of approx. 4.6 lakh sq ft is designed as an addition to the existing buildings intended to accommodate a diverse brief; new educational programmes and associated learning spaces, student services, campus administration, conference centre and public functions/activities, etc. Volumes were subtracted further to create a variety of open spaces such as stilted verandahs and courts, upper level terraces and courtyards. The courts and terraces on various levels are distributed evenly across the building, based on solar orientation such that different spaces may be used in summer and winter. While each of the courtyards on the lower floors have been given a distinct identity based on usage, upper level terraces are designed to function as outdoor classrooms. Primary pedestrian, which runs through the main building spine/covered corridors, Secondary pedestrian, that runs through the landscaped courts and stilted areas, and finally, landscaped walkways that connect the building at various nodes, link the entire campus. Colour or a contrast in material is introduced to highlight the open staircases and entrances along the western face.
