All in one
Not so long ago, for members of the Kuala Lumpur staff of Y&R collaborating with their colleagues could be a matter of some physical difficulty.
Over the years, the firm's presence in the Menara E&C building at Lorong Dungun, Damansara Heights had expanded in haphazard fashion, with staff teams and operational units eventually working from several different spaces on several different floors.
Inside each space, people we isolated yet further by furniture seemingly designed to hinder, not help, spur-of-the-moment staff interaction."Everybody was seated in a maze of workstations surrounded by very high partitions," says Ramesh Subramaniam, Associate Director, M Moser Kuala Lumpur. "Nobody could see each other, and so nobody really talked or collaborated. There was little interaction because everybody stayed in their personal silo."
