Strong. Adaptable. These traits that are so important to those serving in our military, are reflected in the buildings built to serve them. These structures are built with a singular purpose, to serve, and must be built to meet exacting plans and schedules. The result is a space respectful of the history and service of its surroundings that fits the needs of those who serve.
The field house is located at the shoreline of the Chesapeake Bay adjacent to the historic Beaux-Arts buildings on the campus. The most distinctive feature of the field house is the full-height window wall along the north face of the main hall that provides views of the fleet of sailboats docked on the wharf just 50 feet from the building that will forever brand this facility to the Naval Academy.
