To provide for a student community of 2300 plus the teaching and ancillary staff on campus, with a proper circulation and rotation of crowd. The site is extremely narrow in proportions of length and breadth, leaving apart the setbacks it further reduces for the context. Providing the site with minimum two entry/exits became a bare minimum requirement, looking at the stretch of the long site but managing them effectively was another need.
Locating two major anchors of the institution premises, as much closer to the demarcated entry/exit points paved way for sufficient quantum of space dedicated to student community. Administrative at one end and Auditorium at the other, major crowd was managed effectively at the site peripheries not adding to people apart from students into the main central zone. The central zone had academics and workshops, conveniently placed at centre. The planning was crisp and clear with departmental blocks alternated with green courtyards, a very straight forward approach. Sections across the institution was so worked out that it facilitated stack effect, affecting the micro-climate of the place and make it more climate sensitive. Thus an an area of about 21500Sq.Mts for 2300 students on site.
