The Restaurant emerged as a business strategy taking forward the mood of the parent company's existing Indian street food chain of restaurants, Khaaja Chowk. The brief specifically was to address the space to be understated, intimate and more conducive to casual fine dining yet keeping the spirit of streets alive. The brief was interpreted as creating a graphically reinterpreted modern 'dhaaba' with Indian elements but an "international fine dining approach to service and restaurant zoning. The shell had a 15 feet high ceiling with a metal frame work for the roof and all the services were routed within the depth of this structure. Wall surfaces are treated as painted brick walls and pigmented plaster walls washed with lighting coves built into the furniture. The Kitchen wall has life size a street scape printed on plywood with a clear glass window looking at a copper clad cubicle with live cooking on the tandoor. All seating made out of formed commercial plywood which is in the form of seating carved out of blocks to create low height enclosures for a cocooned dining environment. The plywood panels that form the partitions have a collage of Delhi street scenes digitally printed directly onto the Plywood.
