Traditions must be honored. The future must be considered. And we must continuously strive for a critical balance between the two. Renovation is about improving, adding new features, incorporating better design practices and growth. But, it is also about restoring and bringing precious memories and history to the forefront so that collective pasts can be shared.
HKS reimagined Amon G. Carter Stadium using the original 1920s linen drawings as the foundation for the renovation. The Southwestern art deco style of the original Amon G. Carter Stadium was the genesis of the new design, forming a strong emotional bond for the University, its alumni and the Fort Worth community. The elements and motif of the Southwestern art deco style are used throughout the stadium to reinforce the heritage of TCU. The modern amenities and sustainable design position the University to succeed both on and off the field.
