The Stationery Industry has also been given special focus by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Government of India. As many as 13 items of stationery are reserved for manufacturing in the SSI Sector and the number of items in the list will be augmented in future. The market for writing instruments and note books is witnessing a sharp growth of about 30 per cent per annum.
