The challenge was to design a workspace for around 480 sq.ft inclusive a dry pantry, dining, workunits and snr. management cabins made-to-convert into conference rooms at times. Not limiting themselves to the area in size neither in creativity, Arris took on this challenge and produced effective designed escritoire, productive for the people working for manufacturing sector. We has successfully completed commercial offices stretching 3 floors and beyond, with work spaces expanding entire floor plates. Hence, designing this small a space was a demanding dare.
This workspace was for a manufacturing unit who were experts in PP( woven polypropelyne bags) & HD bags. Basically these are bags out of woven wire mesh, closely knit for strength and tenability. Extruding the wire mesh into its very basic, organic and evolutionary form, a graphic was developed to be part of the interiors. This minimal but a very strong design statement gave the required punch and passed on a core message to the user about their product and its properties.
The interiors are in stark contrast to the exterior restoration of the art deco facade, intentionally to make them contemporary for today's customer. Individual shop is provided with a street frontage for maximum customer visibility.
