Proposed on 614 acres of land with residential, commercial, office, hospitality and recreational facilities, the Shantigram Township aims to develop as one of the largest integrated township developments of Ahmedabad. The designed master-plan proposal for high-rise group housing in Pocket R1, Shantigram is one of the components of this scheme. The eastern length is abutted by affordable housing structures and an electric substation.
The residential towers are designed as interconnected T-shaped modules on the site. These T-shaped tower units are combined to create various horizontal and vertical tower configurations in plan. The same tower block is used repeatedly across the site to economize construction costs. Every tower has designated drop-off and pick-up areas with individual entrance lobbies that also act as communal spaces.
The building clusters on site are organized in a manner that allows the construction on site to be realized in three phases. The basement similarly is designed accordingly with phase gaps to enable this three-phase construction. Link roads would be accommodated between basements to connect them. Each phase has separate entry points and access ramps.
