The Entire restaurant has been laid out into various zones and levels, almost looking onto a framed view of the Metro track. The highest level at the entry starts dropping down allowing the clients to get a full view of the entire restaurant at any given point. The various zones have different elements like lamps, furniture and wall treatments which generate different moods. The entire restaurant has custom designed furniture for the various zones.
A very tight palette of Eta Gold stone and slate were used for the primary shell. The walls were in ETA GOLD stone in patterns of a specific proportion of the tile sizes, similar proportions were followed on the floor in slate tiles. The stone tiles were given various textures for each zone, using techniques such as short-blasting, hand-chiseling and sandblasting. Motifs from indian miniature and prints were used to generate various details like deep etched glass screens, embroidered fabric patchwork screens as blinds, screen printed silk ( fabric sandwiched in glass backlit backdrop for the bar) , for perforated copper lamps and carved stone details on the wall. Extensive use of gold foil work, glass crystals and high grade leatherette upholstery for the sense of luxury and flamboyance. All these were applied to arrive at the experience that PUNJABI BY NATURE evokes and promises to deliver.
