In a hospital, everyone is working toward the same end. Doctors. Nurses. Therapists. All working cohesively to offer holistic coverage for healthcare needs. But every need must be met. Everyone must be looked after. And every cog must be working together toward the same goal. Getting you back to your family. Getting you home.
A place for family, a place that inspires hope and confidence, and provides trusted care. The Parkview Regional Medical Center is a hospital with a community spirit, and a healthcare destination that reflects the heritage of northeast Indiana, promoting health, wellness and family-centered care. The healing environment focuses on quality consumer, patient and physician care delivery that is comfortable, nurturing and culturally sensitive. The project teams goal is to cohesively integrate existing specialty services with the new core hospital and heart hospital through a new wayfinding concourse, indigenous materials and stress-reducing design. Operationally, primary goals included improving patient and staff safety in the inpatient and outpatient zones by reducing medication errors, falls and injuries. The team also strived to increase efficiency by reducing travel distances for nursing and support staff. From a project delivery perspective, the project goals included a delivery model that reduced waste and created value through schedule reduction and overall cost reductions.
