The quintessential landmark to an otherwise low-rise skyline, this commercial tower draws its inspiration from the silhouette that has been iconic of Orissa for many centuries.
This building comprises a 24 storied office tower behind a short retail block. It is so oriented that the smaller edge is along the west thus reducing heat gain. The service core is located along the southern edge to minimize heat gain even further. The tall mass also shades an exhibition courtyard which makes it conducive to host festivals through the year.
The facade is treated with undulating glass surfaces while prominent cantilevers provide dramatic shadows creating dynamic visuals through the day.
