Seeming to take the form of a 'boulder', there is a mound of earth with a cantilever balanced on each side. One of the cantilevers forms the entrance to the Centre. The other side projects over a large swimming pool.
The boulder is strategically punctured by large voids. A long horizontal void forms a viewing deck of the restaurant. A vertical void contains a multifunctional courtyard, which can be used for sports, exhibitions or events. This public space is the center of the building around which all the other programs revolve, such as restaurants, squash courts, a bowling alley, a badminton court, guest rooms and a spa and health club.
The connection between different programs and functions are not transparent. Instead views are obstructed, creating a progression of spaces, which only get revealed once you move from one space to the other. Each space gives merely a hint of what is about to follow. Like in a storyline, one follows a sequence of events, but once in a while, a flashback or a flash forward, takes the visitor into a rich and enticing spatial experience.
