The resort attempts to recognize some of the existing skills of the area around Bhimtal and make literal and symbolic gestures in its design. A summer retreat, the architectural scheme is conceived to seclude the private sections of the resort across steep hilly ramparts, while the public areas congregate around the pool. Central to its design is the idea of the stone cottage along the street.
Rough rubble stonewalls inside and outside the building support pine ceilings and trussed roofs.
Each displays the elements of a hill house - stone hearths, fireplaces, dormer windows and rooftop verandahs.
