Planned as a catalyst to shift the changing paradigm of residential development in the Golden City of the East, Shiraz-e-Hind Lucknow" which is the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, Rishita Manhattan is designed as a condominium development to add another dimension to the city's skyline. Conceived with the intent of being uniquely recognisable, and to craft an exclusive identity for the city, a city shaped out of Courtly manners, beautiful gardens, poetry & music this residential development brings together a variety of spaces for healthy living lifestyles.

Situated within the Omaxe City right off Amar Shaheed Path, it is located in the fastest developing sub-district of Lucknow. Manhattan comprises of 14 apartment towers built as luxury residences to augment the urban cityscape by means of its integrated features that create an aura of calm and grandeur. A holistic approach is adopted to create a melange of contemporary lifestyle, serene greenery, comfort and recreational facilities for all age groups. The project is spread over an area in excess of 10 acres with three side connectivity from Master plan roads. Capitalising on the excellent frontage available on three sides, it was envisaged to do an enclave plan allowing for segregation of the unit types based on the hierarchy of the same. The site is therefore designed as thee separate zones;

The Eastern Zone is planned with four apartment towers that have 4 bedrooms with servant areas, designed on a three to a core formation, with all units getting views of the central landscaped greens as well as the community greens of the Township. While Two-thirds of the units are two side open, one-third are three side open units, to ensure that all units get sunlight for the major part of the day. The towers are 16 to 21 floors high. The Central Zone is planned with six apartment towers that have 3 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms with servant apartment towers. There are overall six towers, that are configured in clusters of 3 on the northern side and three on the southern side. The tower heights are staggered for achieving a rhythmic skyline. The Northern cluster is from 16 to 19 floors and 28-32 floors on the southern side. The apartments are configured in a four to a core formation, with all apartments being two side open and having unobstructed views of the central greens and facing roads.

The Western Zone comprises of four towers in all rising up to 20 floors in height with 2 bedroom and 2 plus Study apartments. The apartments are configured in an eight to a core formation allowing for a highly efficient core and enhanced social engagement among apartment owners. The 2 bedroom plus study apartments are two side open and all the apartments get either the morning sun or in the afternoon and have unrestricted views of either the central greens or the township roads.

Reminiscing the Manhattan skyline and its scale of massive buildings, characteristic expansive, triple-height entrance lobbies are designed for the towers. Embracing pure, linear forms, the building massing is enabled through simple, rectilinear shapes with an ornate crown-like form on the top of the tower to add grandeur to the city's skyline. This expression of crown and linear elements complements the overall attempt to redefine a new skyline for the city. The facade richness has been brought with the use of GRC Jaali and faux wood panels, the vertical emphasis being punctuated by the use of horizontal elements by joining balconies , solid balcony balustrades and concrete bands.

Aiming to create a Central Park for the city, the central green area is enhanced through the pedestrian movement inside, where there is no hindrance of the vehicular traffic. This is divided into private and public greens, and its lush landscaped greens offer the residents an array of green trails to promote healthy lifestyles for all age groups; a fitness trim trail, kids play trail, healing and wellness trail etc. Special spaces in the central courtyard are dedicated to leisure features such as the Hammock garden, sculpted mounds, Bamboo Park, area for kids, boulevards, avenues, water bodies, seating spaces and an open air theatre that ensure the social, mental and physical wellbeing of the inhabitants. Keeping in mind the delectable food of the Lucknow, a part of the open space is also dedicated to an outdoor barbeque.

In keeping with the zonal nature of the site planning, the clubhouse has been placed at a point that is central to all the zones and is located to define the transition between heavy built-forms of Western zone and the Central Park. It is flanked by a boulevard a predominantly pedestrian avenue catering to a diverse set of uses across the day for all age groups. Features like Skating arena, outdoor play zones for kids, resting benches for the seniors and gossip corners for the ladies. The Club building itself has all the health and well-ness activities like Gym, Spa and indoor games rooms. It also features an exclusive Cineplex for the residents' use. An infinity pool with breath-taking views of the Central Park ups the luxury quotient by quite a few notches.

By adapting the local conditions, culture and context to create the most liveable environment for its residents, a unique and inimitable identity is created that becomes the point of attraction for the city itself. Through its design and planning, Manhattan enables the social, mental and physical advancement of its inhabitants. Along with providing a comfortable lifestyle, rooted in the city's rich cultural ethos, it is developed as a hub for exchange of ideas and culture. Through its well-organized, mixed land-use plan that combines living spaces, as well as spaces for entertainment and culture, it aims to enhance the overall well-being of the resident, with a view to direct the sustainable urbanism of the city.
