Educating your Child through Environment - being the motto of the school, its very well translated into design theme and concepts used all over the school premises, right from the entrance gate down to the flooring and partitions of each and every room. The classroom is the place where any student spends most of his productive time in a day. It not only has to bring out the best in him but also foster further good & great, together! Every classroom is so specifically evolved considering the age group that it's going to hold and nurture within it.
The Arris Architects Team immersed themselves into a novel creative gene pool this time around to give conceptual twist to their modular interiors. Since it involved interiors for an educational institution, au courant concepts of math & geometry were creatively applied. The Haberdashers module of geometry was explored, studied and then applied to workstation & computer table unit design. This gave the flexibility to use it independently by two students and collectively by 6-8 nos. in groups. Special attention was given to avoid sharp corners and edges of furniture to make it child-safe. A model study of shapes, ergonomically most suitable for kids revealed interesting facts about curvilinear surfaces and their interpretation & approach by children. Some rooms are bright and brilliant with their color scheme, to create a jovial environment for the young, tender minds, while few others have a fluid, free-flowing layout with introduction of curves and patterns. A nebulous teacher's table, minimal low height non-boxed shaped tables, fabric drops at the periphery of rooms, which acts as a visual screen between different areas of function and many more improvisations were included.
Education is what you take back home, apart from your homework. The concepts and designs are so evolved that every child goes back home enriched in knowledge and spirit.
Precisely so, the classrooms are distributed in the building systematically and floor by floor, the school is rooting itself in benevolence of education. Educating through Environment design philosophy, resulted in unbolted space and spirit, hoping to create fulgent individuals of tomorrow. Each new day the school grows bit by bit, taking smaller steps towards a better, improved ulterior. Keeping in mind, a fine tutelage coupled with conducive, barrier free ambience will results in independent individuals of a new day.
