Lazeez Affaire on Malcha Marg wanted to redo their 2300 sq ft first floor dining area into a Pan Asian Restaurant, Bar and Lounge. Renowned for traditional Indian fine-dine, they wanted a place that would be contemporary and would form its own identity as an Asian Lounge.
The complexity of Asian culture was best understood and represented as a kaleidoscope of patterns, shapes and reflections that play around with the viewer and the surroundings. Black, shades of white and gold, and red were chosen as representative colours for the theme. Clean lines separating and defining spaces and objects hold this riot in a tranquil balance and define the ambience of the interior. The place has a 30 foot bar, a holding area, a dedicated VIP lounge area and a separate fine- dining zone. The steps leading up to the first floor are wrapped in oiled hard wood and make for a warm and inviting entrance.
The amazing complexity and contradictions of Asian Culture come across as an enthralling yet tranquil experience in this interior space.
