The red ribbon
The visual cornerstone of Global Source's corporate ID, the curving red ribbon clearly connects not only functions and utilities within offices but also the offices themselves.
Global Sources business is to connect, to provide sourcing information to volume buyers and integrated marketing services for suppliers. Linking up with partners at conferences, seminars, fairs and exhibitions is crucial to their success. However, these occasions are often hectic, inflexible and short on time.
As a result, Global Sources wanted to make their business partners feel more relaxed when visiting their Shenzhen head office and subsequently other branches in their network.
To achieve this objective the company's Shenzhen operations had to move into new and modern premises. The space had to be inviting to clients and business partners and also provide an informative 3-D "branding" benchmark that could later be used in smaller Global Sources offices. Design was used to address these business objectives.
