A linear space of 20,000 sq.ft was to be designed with unconventional format enhancing brand identity for G:Corp. The visibility of the counters from common areas and the accessibility of the foodcourt were to be prioritized and hence placed accordingly.
The approach to the foodcourt was in sync with the mall design. Two prominent features of the design were the bulk head over the counter and the false ceiling in the foodcourt. The design proposal interprets the false ceiling as a piece of art which would give pleasant feeling to the patrons. The bulk head over each counter helps anchor each food counter. The monochrome angulated striped design pattern is constrained by the existing framing of the beams. The smooth fascia running along the aisles forms a continuous bulk-head to connect all the counters into one character. The proposed ceiling skin with a play of pastel colors, graphics and laminates on the wall forms the basis of over-all design scheme. The design is in sync with the client need for brand depiction and involvement in schematic parameters.
