It is a unique facility - one of its kind in the world which houses the Headquarters of Emirates Airlines. . It has three lower floors - basement, ground and the first floor which are used as a crew terminal. They have complete arrival and departure facilities. Equipped with 40 briefing rooms, duty-free shopping, luggage handling facilities, customs and immigration facilities, it is like a mini-airport dedicated for the crew. It links up with the Dubai Airport through an underground tunnel below the busy approach road. The first floor has facilities for the crew like supermarkets, laundry, spa, health club, auditorium, food court, banks etc.
The 9 floors above are occupied by the Emirates Staff Headquarters, planned around a grand atrium capped with a skylight. The top floor is dedicated to the Emirates management overlooking the airport and all aircraft movement. The floors below are offices with high-end facilities essential to modern workplaces. The roof top provides health and leisure facility for the management staff in the form of jogging track, swimming pool and health club. The sheer scale and complexity of the project would have been a challenge for any Architect and Archgroup managed all aspects of design,construction project management and commissioning in the most professional manner that would have made proud even the Best architects in the world. All the functions involved were seamlessly integrated and designed in minute detail by the project team along with the in house Construction Project Management team to deliver a landmark project within the specified budget and time.
