Faced with loss of the architecture school building in a fire, TU Delft floated an ideas competition.
This entry was defined by the intersection of two planes. One was a large roof, floating above, and uniting, the distinct building volumes of the social and public functions of the school (Lecture halls and jury and discussion spaces). The other plane was conceived as an interactive vertical surface - to be used for information, communication and expression - a free-wheeling digital conversation. The main circulation streets ran along this plane.
This entry was one of 50 to be recognised by the jury and featured in the competition publication brought out by the organizers.
