We had to design the interiors of the office chamber and the meeting area for the Chief Minister of the largest state in South India. A heavy duty and perennial activity zone had to be designed which would complement the grandeur of post that a Chief Minister holds was a challenge well accepted and responded to. A shallow dome with indirect lighting was to be the design of the ceiling above the chair of the C.M. Wooden panels for storage in the walls minimized the use of extra furniture in the chamber. The corners and focus areas were treated such that they harmonize to the majestic setout of the office. The interiors demarcated and defined the hierarchy in the administration be it the director or the subordinate or be it the chief minister himself and other ministers. In other words the design was regality personified for the most powerful Chief Minister of South India.
