Due to the shallow slope of the screens, the structure available for designing the side walls was quite linear and rectangular. Hence deviating from the angular arrangement, we have accentuated the linear proportion of the cinema. To achieve the same, a combination of CNC cut Feature MDF panels with Fabric grippers along with drapes is incorporated in the paneling design to make it more appealing and elegant.

The Design Score is guided by Stephen Hawkings, The Grand Design, mojjo. "Each exists for but a short time, and in that time explore but a small part of the whole universe."
Decoding Hawkings, quote for The Grand Design, its fundamentals are quintessentially depicted by the tree sculpture, that pose a grand welcoming gesture to its patrons visible from a see-through entrance. The space available for the lobby had structural columns right at the centre. Again using the limitations into design advantage, the columns are so projected, as trunks of the tree, which spread its branches on either sides of the lobby, capturing the magic moment of blossoming, reflecting the energy of life empowered by nature. The tree makes for a chic, contemporary, neo-modern feature of the lobby, grabbing eyes and holding them as one passes by! The concessions counter is the single most dynamic element, very conspicuous and strategically placed. It runs much essential, form uniformity, giving a fluid notion to otherwise static and narrow space. A hexagonal close-packed lattice, forms familiar tessellations, inspired by Voronoi geometry, on feature panel is used as a reflective design language across the project interiors tying together all spaces as one whole mass.

The overall pallete of the volume has a warm hue of wood and beige colour marble enhancing the grandeur experience with cinema banners , posters and signages adding to the colour quotient. The grandeur of the lobby is thus established by the bold extravaganza of the vistas created by MDF Trees, truly initiating an experiential space! And it is in this short time of few mega minutes, that Cine Grand's design makes a lasting impression on the hearts & minds of its patrons & visitors.precisely indeed, a small part of the whole universe.
