The brief to convert an existing urban village property consisting of 4 separate houses into an integrated restaurant and bar|theme : contemporary classic with moroccan overtones The challenges integrating multiple levels | reinforcing existing structure | creating a contemporary moroccan feel | a broken up entrance through village house.
Interpretation The entrance walkway was used as an asset to create the experience of walking through a moroccan village alley Creation of multiple spatial treatments to generate different volumes A twin lounge that spills into a court like space with a giant chandelier, which serves as the dance floor, extending into a restaurant that gets a framed view of the hauz khas monument.
Use of glass in different forms in colours of red, gold and white From left to right , glass bead lamp on a mirror tiled surface, glass bead lamps, red screen print on gold, slate on floor with red mosaic, mosaic tiles on walls.
