Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India
Breaking the norms of Vernacular Architecture in this upmarket locality of Bhubaneswar- the East Indian capital city of the state Orissa, this bungalow is designed with a contemporary style creating a landmark in the vicinity. The wooden cladding elements in exterior facade are used to break the monotony within the structure, adding aesthetical value to the design. The Ground + 3 storied bungalow is finished in white textured paint, with the contrast of Flamed Granite and Metal elements. Internal terraces and recessed balconies are carved out to merge the interiors and exteriors and creating a play of shadows in the facade. A wooden pergola at the terrace adds a visual focus to the building's outlook.
